On a recent walk through the neighborhood, I decided I wanted pizza. I still have to try this new place pretty close to where I live that a reader keeps recommending to me, but I was over by Austin Street, so I headed to Nick’s.
On this trip, I managed to finally order a salad. The classic Caesar was tasty enough, with enough dressing, enough crunch and enough of everything, but not amazing. I liked it enough and would get it again, if given the chance. (This was way too much food as it was.)
Pie with mushrooms on half and pepperoni/sausage on the other half. I don’t think I’ll get mushrooms again; they just don’t add enough flavor to the pizza to warrant the $3 price tag. This is in general, not just at Nick’s – I’m still discovering what kinds of topping I like, since I’m normally a pizza purist. The pepperoni was fine, but I liked the sausage way more. Next time, though, I may just opt for meatball again! (I think both would be overkill…)
Another upskirt. Another fine pizza; crust and char all there. I love Nick’s and am so glad I am within walking distance (but still a good 20 minute stroll away; I need the exercise after eating pizza!).
Yvo says: I absolutely adore Nick’s and his pizza… nomnom gobble nom…! I also love that they have bottled root beer that isn’t mainstream (they carry Abita), and it’s pretty tasty… hehe

Yup! That’s a pretty great looking pie! I love the concept of a food porn upskirt! I’ll have to use that one.

I LOVE Nick’s Pizza. Wish I lived closer to them but am probably better off where I am- I’d be huge otherwise. I’m usually a veg pizza kind of girl, but if I were to choose a meat topping, I’d go with meatballs.
