My friend John is obsessed with happy hours and on an eternal quest looking for good happy hour deals. I get roped into joining him sometimes, but the kind of happy hour I love is the one that focuses on food specials.
I don’t remember what the specials were here. I know I showed up and he’d bought me a box of Minions cereal cuz he knows I obsess over the Minions (this was back a while – it was warm or even hot out, that’s how long ago it was). The drinks were strong enough to make me happy (and him but just barely – I think he was more interested in the cute bartender), and I ordered chorizo fundido (first pic) which came with tortillas, warm and yummy, gooey cheese! and we got guacamole for both our happiness. The little sauces on the side were pretty spicy, but I handled some of it alright and enjoyed trying each in turn.
Pretty good happy hour. I would return (though I’m currently not drinking). By the way — in case you’re wondering — Minions cereal is not tasty.

Edited to add: oh hey guys I looked it up – sorry I was really tired last night but really wanted to post – the happy hour is pretty great! $6 palomas (which is what I ordered – a tinge of heat at the end of a regular paloma, which is a great drink!), $7 guacamole made to order, and the fundido is $6 without chorizo, $8 with. Nachos range from $6 – 8 … I think I need to go back! The full happy hour menu can be found here.
