It feels like months ago now… probably because it was… that I went to London for a food awards ceremony. While I was there, I stayed at the fairly newly-opened South Place Hotel, which was steps away from the Liverpool tube station (not that I did much exploration, heh). I thoroughly enjoyed my room and must share photos!
Loved my very comfy bed, and the TV was pretty cool (though I hardly watched any).
I absolutely loved how their minibar area wasn’t just for alcoholics; they provided necessary tools to make an actual, real cocktail or drink (fresh lemon and lime, a knife to cut them, tonic and other assorted mixers). Gorgeous little space and well thought out; it’s the little touches, you know?
Obligatory shot of the bathroom with me in the photo. Loving the fixtures and sleek modern look to everything.
And the huge soaking tub! To be completely honest, I actually got sick from jetlag or something, and was so tired at one point that I could barely stand up to shower. So I totally took a long, hot bath to try to relax my muscles and just put myself in a better place mentally to get through a weekend of constant eating 😉
I really enjoyed my weekend at South Place Hotel. The staff was completely lovely and accommodating, the rooms were clean, well-kept and comfortable, and the lounge area was huge, relaxing, casual and had fantastic bartenders (they made sure I never went without a drop of alcohol… which is a dangerous and lovely place to be, isn’t it?). I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to London… though I will say that I have no idea how close it is to everything, as transportation all weekend was taken care of and I barely had to remember where I even was.
Check it out if you can!

Please note that I stayed here courtesy of the company that flew me out to London. The hotel had no way of knowing I’d be writing about them, though I believe they knew the company that sponsored my trip. I was under no obligation to write about my stay nor did I receive monetary compensation to do so.
