I’m a big believer in rewarding myself – for a job well done, or really, anything. One morning found me on the Upper East Side, so I headed to Via Quadronno – one of Martha Stewart’s favorite little cafes (she’s Tweeted photos of the latte/cappucinos they pull for her; one of them had a PANDA drawn into the foam!!!) – for a treat.

I thought the menu said the croissants are from Francois Payard Bakery, but I am not finding mention of this when I Google it… in any case, I chose an almond croissant because um, I love those things. Perfectly light and crisp, flaky, buttery, perfect fuel and the perfect treat for my early morning start, I was very happy eating this with my latte. Ahhh… treat yo’ self! 😉

No, it didn’t have that funky charred taste that burned stuff has. It was a little crispy though, haha.
