Product Review: Sara Snacker’s Chipn’etzels

October 27, 2009 by Feisty Foodie 5 Comments

Sara Snacker’s Chipn’etzels recently crossed my radar via press release and subsequent samples sent my way.  I received both the above containers, though I’m not a white chocolate person, so those will be distributed during the big giveaway.  I am, however, a big fan of dark chocolate, and an even huger fan of salty-sweet snacks (thus my love of salted caramel… and putting salt in/on my chocolate chip cookies!), so I was really eager to try these.

IMG_0166.JPG

I actually almost ate the entire container before I remembered to take a picture of an individual cookie.  Drizzled with dark chocolate and half dipped in it as well, the cookies themselves are buttery and crumbly, interspersed with crunchy bits of pretzels and potato chips.  Though the cookies are by no means too sweet, I did find myself wishing they were a bit saltier.  The crunch from the pretzels and chips is nice, and a bit different from being crusted in pretzels/chips, but a sprinkle of sea salt on top took the cookies to a whole new level (yes, I did!).

Yvo says: I definitely recommend getting these if you’re into the salty/sweet thing even a little bit as much as I am; a lovely snack to munch on while I’ve been stressed with exams and all, or a nice snack with a mug of the hot beverage of your choice… perfect.  Each container is about $4.99 (dependent on retailer): a list of retailers here though that doesn’t mention Fairway, and I believe they are also available there.  (I’m totally on my way now to get another box.)

Disclaimer: I received these packages free of charge for my consideration of a review.  I was under no obligation to write about them nor to write about them positively, and did so of my own volition.

    good God,
    DO WANT!

I love white chocolate, and I love salty/sweet, for ages my favorite snack like that was the white chocolate dipped pretzels (flips?)
you tempt me so. if I wasn’t so cheap I’d go hunt some down.
