L’Arte del Gelato

November 11, 2008 by Feisty Foodie 3 Comments

After our wildly disappointing meal at Mary’s Fish Camp, Kathy, Robyn and I headed to nearby L’Arte del Gelato for a sweet finish to our meal.  I’d never been, though Kathy says this is her favorite gelato place… and I soon saw why!

Yum look at all those flavors!  I blanked out and didn’t read all the flavors apparently so I wound up ordering a strange combination: mint chocolate chip & panna cotta.  If you remember, my two favorite desserts of all time are… tiramisu first, then panna cotta.  They had tiramisu but I didn’t notice until after I’d already received my order T_T but that just means I have an excuse to go back 😉  I’m told they rotate their flavors often as well!

With my small cup, they also added a little scoop of blueberry for me to try – which I liked, but my choices made me more than happy.  That was some good stuff!  I can see why Kathy likes it so much 🙂 The pannacotta, creamy and delicious, the mint chip, minty but not overwhelmingly so, along with chocolate bits that just melted in your mouth, ahhh heaven.

Yvo says: Mmm, if you can afford the calories, DEFINITELY go here~!!!  Even if you can’t.  The gelato was fabulous and it was the perfect sweet ending to a great night filled with good conversation and new friends.  🙂

Ooh man, BEST GELATO EVER! hehe…stopped by just this evening for a gelato brioche sandwich. In retrospect, we should have just come here for dinner…gelato sundaes, fresh waffle cones, and say oh, a dozen flavours split between us three? hehehe 😉

Ohhhh I LOVE gelato! Too bad I'm in Georgia. Good gelato would be so refreshing in this summer heat!
