One rainy evening on my way back from a full day of walking around and enjoying the beautiful city I’m now claiming as my 3rd home (San Francisco, of course, being second), I decided to give in and stop into Samaya, which was a few doors down from my apartment. I walked by every day, and it always smelled so wonderful… and I love Lebanese food quite a bit, which made it all the more enticing.
Unfortunately, this is the only photo I wound up taking of my kofta sandwich – with Fanta, of course (I am OBSESSED with European Fanta; real sugar, real fruit juice, and delicious!). The fries were nothing to excite, but the kofta sandwich – expertly wrapped such that I could eat it without it falling apart all over me – was excellent. Soft, heavily seasoned meat, tender and juicy, with a lovely mix of greens, tomatoes, and hummus inside it. So tasty – I was extremely pleased that I’d decided to follow my instinct and try the place.
If you’re near the Eiffel Tower and want a snack or something heavier, their menu looks pretty great. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.
