Doh! I was trying to be creative but obviously I should be more anal-retentive about how straight things are… In any case, those who’ve had the absolute pleasure of meeting me in person should recognize the photo above (and those particularly observant will realize that the flipped around one indeed is the one card that bears a non-food photo, and that I have obscured my phone number on the card) – they’re my business cards from Moo.com! Every time I hand these out, I get the inevitable compliment: “oh my gosh, these are adorable! Where did you get them? Where can I get them? Are these your own photos on the back?” and the answer is: Moo.com, and yes they are my photos! I also frequently hand out discount codes since every order comes with discount codes to distribute, and I definitely encourage people to be creative and order their own cards. So much fun, so unique, and really, a great way to display your creativity when you’re a freelancer like I am.
Okay, so why am I showing you a photo of my cards? Well, because I wanted to show them off and to help explain why I was so ecstatic when Moo.com recently approached me about doing a giveaway of their products. Honestly, I write about a lot of different things, and I’ve promoted various items on here. The most fun I have though is always when a product or company of whom I’m ALREADY a huge fan approaches me and asks if I’d like to help them because um, YES?! It’s like finding out your favorite chef reads your site obsessively and thinks you’re super cool and awesome too (HELLO MICHAEL WHITE IF YOU ARE READING THIS I AM A HUGE FAN WILL YOU PLEASE MAKE ME FUSILLI WITH PORK SHOULDER RAGU LIKE YOU USED TO AT CONVIVIO OR GIVE ME THE RECIPE SO I CAN MAKE IT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE?) Ahem, sorry, what I mean is… it’s just super awesome to get this type of validation. Plus now I can spread the love and show y’all how awesome Moo really is! and this gave me a really good excuse to photograph my own cards to show off 😉
(And if you’re wondering, yes, I know exactly where each of those photos were taken. Some of them are very obvious to anyone familiar with the food scene in NYC, and some are slightly more obscure.)
So… really… here’s some copy from Moo directly.

Hard to tell from the small picture but I’m going to give your business card guess a try:
From top to bottom:
Row 1: Plum tomatoes,stir-fry broccoli with garlic sauce, tomato basil soup with fresh tomato and green pepper, kabobs, japanese ramen with egg, fatty pork, and spring onions
Row 2: juicy burger, fried chicken on biscuit
Row 3: foamed heart cappucino, burger and fries feast with pepsi drinks, fried chicken breast, potato salad with tomato (?), grilled chicken with rice
Row 4: japanese ramen with spring onions on the side, olive oil with herbs for bread dipping, mac and cheese tower, soup with bamboo shoots and carrot, watermelon, edamame, and mashed potato lunchbox.
Thanks for the opportunity to guess. It was fun!!
Feisty Foodie says
Hi Lisa- I wasn’t very clear, sorry! Every single one of those photos comes from a post on this site, so I was asking more for what restaurant each of those came from or which post. Nice guesses though!
