Quick post this AM – Perdue is having this awesome contest to win chicken for a year! It’s called Perdue’s America’s Best Chicken Dishes, and you can enter here – all you have to do is upload a photo of your best chicken dish and include a brief description of what you do to make it the best (not a recipe).
You think: big hoo-ha, that’s what you’re posting about today? It’s Monday, where’s the food? Well how about this: their contest ends on September 30, and you should totally enter… but I’m having my own contest. See that photo above? It’s one of Perdue’s products that really is a lifesaver for someone like me, who lives alone and doesn’t always want to open a big package of chicken. Each chicken breast is individually wrapped, so if I freeze the whole package, I can take one breast out in the morning before I ‘leave for work’ (I work from home, so… yeah), and it’s ready to be cooked when I’m done with work! Obviously I can take another one out if I’m having company or want to cook extra for leftovers or for lunch for the next day… regardless, it’s really ‘the perfect portion’ – love!
Leave a comment below explaining why you’d like perfect portions of your own, for a chance to win a voucher for your own pack of perfect portions, free!
Rules and restrictions: winner will be chosen via Random.org, not open to Feisty Foodie family members (both blood relatives and employees), open to those in the continental US. Contest prize is provided by Perdue. I did not receive monetary compensation for this post (though I received my own voucher). Opinions expressed are my own.

Well…first of all I love free things, but also I do this with chicken that I buy anyway (portion it out into smaller portions and freeze them). This would be to expensive to buy for myself, but this would be great.

I always buy meat and portion it out into single servings before freezing them- this would clear out that extra step for me which would be great!

I too purchase large packs and separate them out myself. However, without a vacuum packing machine, my chicken never stays as fresh as I would like it to be. If these are individually vacuum packed, then that is awesome!

I do this thing where I stuff a whole chicken with a fork-punctured lemon before sealing and roasting on a bed of carrots and red potatoes. All of my pictures are pretty dark, though.

These would be great for the days when I make a veggie-centric meal and bf says, “Where’s the meat?” I can hand him a Perfect Portions and say, “Knock yourself out” 😉

Awww it sucks living in the UK when I can’t participate in your giveaways!
Lisa says
This is perfect because I hate waiting forever for a whole chicken to defrost!

These perfect portions fit right in with my frugal lifestyle — no waste and I only use what I need. I can make chicken alfredo for two with just one breast in about 20 minutes. So convenient!
