Mother’s Day 2010, more food NOMs with the MOMs… 🙂 FeistyMom & FeistySis! Courtesy of the bro-in-law!
Grilled chicken breasts with BBQ sauce… yum!
Grilled chili-lime shrimp that I somehow forgot to put a couple on my plate, boo 🙁
Rib eye steaks… so tender and juicy, flavorful… all you need is salt and a touch of pepper 🙂
Sirloin steaks… ditto the above 🙂
Giant bowl of buttered corn niblets…
Yu choy sauteed with garlic!
My first plate… half a chicken breast, half a steak, lots of corn, lots of greens … totally NOMs!
How did you celebrate Mother’s Day? What did you eat???
TT says
I made Carolina-style pulled pork. AB made the sides- grilled potato green bean salad and a cole slaw.
CT made bruschetta, mini phyllo beef wellingtons, herbed goat cheese as apps.
AB also made mini smoked salmon bites for apps.
T.C. says
Beef with chinese broccoli.
It’s usually just quiet dinner at home with the ‘rents.
We don’t do much for holidays.

Cantonese-style lobster, snow crab, garlicky choy sum with a touch of oyster sauce, lotus root soup, a weird Shanghai-nese dish that I love but has no English translation and is made with cloud ear mushrooms, wheat gluten (looks kind of sponge-like), sliced bamboo, and straw mushrooms, and steamed rice.
