Cluster Potluck

January 26, 2010 by Feisty Foodie 3 Comments

Much like last year, my cluster at work had a potluck to celebrate the holidays.  It was a fun, inexpensive way to get everyone together and mark another year survived at our firm 😉

Per what is now I guess tradition, Mama BB brought in Popeye’s fried chicken, half spicy, half regular.  Mmm that was good.  I accidentally took a piece of spicy but yowsa… yum!

Another what is now tradition: Mama LC’s pernil.  Damn, if last year was good, this year was even BETTER.  I didn’t think it was possible, but super succulent and tender and just wonderful.  Mmm.

Trying to be a lil bit healthy, I made roasted broccoli with garlic cloves.  Yummm, I love this stuff, I swear I make this 2-3x a week for myself – bento and dinner and whatever, I just shove the leftovers in the fridge and have it already made to grab some when I want dinner or to pack a bento.  It’s awesome.

Can’t have pernil without arroz con gandules of course!  Yumm!

And my (first) plate.  Yup, I had seconds, hahaha.  And if you look closely, you can see my chicken scratch, the notebook I used for History last semester – filled with notes, definitions, annotations… everything.  Well, that’s how I got a 99 on my final and an A in the class, beeyotches!!!  🙂

Yet another wonderful holiday potluck with my coworkers.  I’ll miss them greatly.

Happy eating!!!
