Looking to get your corned beef & cabbage on?
I know I am… but I won’t be cuz of this whole stupid meatless thing. (Yes, I’m a bit grumpy, but I think you would be too, if your sister’s mother-in-law makes this fabulous corned beef and it was waved in front of your face two days in a row by people who know you can’t/won’t be eating it…)
Anyway, here’s a list of Union Square area places running corned beef & cabbage specials tomorrow for St. Patty’s Day:
o Blind Pig – 233 East 14th Street (also Shepherd’s Pie, Lamb Stew
and Dublin Broil) [price TBD]
o Heartland Brewery – 35 Union Square West [under $20]
o Old Town Bar – 45 E. 18th [$12.50]
o Shades of Green – 125 East 15th Street (also Shepherd’s Pie, Irish
Beef Stew and Soda Bread) [$16.00]
o Sidebar – 120 East 15th Street [price TBD]
Go, eat, enjoy, take pictures, and let me know how each place is!!!
Happy eating! 🙂
PS You may not know this, but I’m actually part Irish, and I don’t mean in an “Everyone’s a little bit Irish on St. Patty’s Day” way like some people have asked me. It’s where I get my red hair. 😉

There are three times a year I would NEVER choose to do a meatless diet [although I admire you] They are: Thanksgiving [duh], Christmas/New Years and the Holy Grail of the BEST MEAL EVAH: St. Patrick’s Day.
You get no sympathy from me LOL…I am going to savor every yummy lil’ morsel on my homemade plate tomorrow….mmmmmm….and I am going to post pictures – In your honor…giggle…
I am j/k, really – I feel for you. Now make sure you go to the grocery store and buy a corned beef on sale to freeze for when you can have meat again.
Hugs!
