Kodak Gallery – Free Your Creativity

This post is slightly different from most of my other posts, because I don’t have any pictures… sorry!

In any case, I was recently tapped by Foodbuzz Tastemakers’ Program to participate in a Kodak Gallery PhotoBook opportunity.  I take a lot of photos, and I actually routinely use Kodak for photo sharing.  What you may not know about me is that I take a lot of photos of my friends and events that I attend that are completely non-food-related.  Yup, I’m the designated photographer amongst my friends, so I tend to be the one flashing my camera in their faces when we go places.  And lots of photos of people means lots of photo sharing over the years… I actually make one big order a year through Kodak (usually when they have one of their nifty 10c print sales) and spend a few days shuffling through hundreds of photos to slip them into a photo album that I then place on my bookshelf.  I have every year of my life documented on that shelf over there, including vacations (Spain, Greece/Turkey, Argentina, Peru) with friends.  I have my 26th birthday documented in its own photobook, actually, so when this opportunity came my way, I was pretty excited.

In any case, I received a code for a free photobook and I had a tough choice to make; I originally wanted to make a cookbook the way Spoonful of Sugar Free did, but then I thought, I’m not going to gift it to anyone and some of my recipes need a bit of work before I’d publish them in a book – even one just for a friend (probably FeistySis, since she likes that sort of thing).  So I thought and thought and thought…

and finally came up with, amazingly, a collection of photos of me.  With food in my mouth.

Though I do not post photos of myself on this site with few exceptions, that doesn’t mean I don’t take them.  I have literally thousands of photos with my face in ‘em (Picasa Face Recognition tells me this), so I went through them and found a bunch of photos with me eating.  People like taking pictures of me eating, so I easily found a lot of me looking particularly stupid and uploaded those.

And that is why in a few days, I will receive a photo book filled with photos of me looking particularly stupid.

Life is what you make of it, and I choose to make it funny.

Hahaha.

Oh, and for a limited time, you can get 40% off your very own Kodak Gallery photo book!  Just use this link: www.kodakgallery.com/creativity

Have fun with it!  What will you create for your photo book?

As part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program, I received the above mentioned items for free.  My usual disclosure applies here: no monetary compensation, positive editorial cannot be bought, and this is my unbiased opinion.
