Ever since I read Stephen Jenkins’ The Food Life (which I’ve been meaning to review but *shame* keep posting about food cuz, yeah, food!), which is, in my opinion, an unabashed love letter to Fairway Market, I have been dying to check this store out. I really like grocery stores, especially good ones, of which there is a dearth in my immediate area right now. I can wander around a good supermarket for hours, looking at stuff, even if I don’t buy much or anything. I just… love supermarkets. Maybe as much as this lady, but probably not.
And while Fairway is in my city, none of their locations are particularly close to my home (are you listening, Fairway people?! OPEN ONE UP IN QUEENS PLEASE!!! 🙂 hehe), so I have been unable to visit thusfar. However…
they’ve just launced this awesome website which is almost (but not quite) as good! Click around and check it out; there are webisodes of lots of fun stuff, recipes, tips, hints, polls, lots of great information to help you make the most of your food!
And for those of you in the NYC area, check this out:
How to Carve a Turkey, Cook Angel Hair Pasta, Bake Chocolate Cupcakes and more!!!
Public welcome to watch food demo taping for DiscoverFairway.com at Fairway in Red Hook.
Fairway Market is filming upcoming webisodes for DiscoverFairway.com at Fairway Market in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The taping is taking place on Friday, November 14th from 8 am to 5:30 pm and is free and open to the public!
