Almondina Giveaway!

October 26, 2011 by Feisty Foodie

It’s my birthday week, but you’re getting the presents!  Yup – I’m having a giveaway a day this week, so come back every day at 12:15p to check what else you can win.  Because life is sweet… but it’s even sweeter when you can share it with people you love!

I briefly mentioned Almondina when I brought over a lot of packages to my friend’s potluck but I didn’t really get into how good these are.  I admit, I was a little skeptical – I never really met a biscotti I liked, because they were always so hard that you HAD to dip them into coffee in order to get them to a point where you could bite them.  So when I was sent these, I wasn’t too eager to eat them – until one night, I broke open the chocolate cherry flavor and ate one.  And then another.  And then another and suddenly the whole package was gone.  Yes, I ate an entire package in one sitting… oops.  They’re super thin, thinner than I’ve ever seen biscotti, and the crack as you bite into one is intense, with a mild chocolate flavor, and the crisp almonds along with the chewy dried cherries (in the chocolate cherry flavor)… just incredible!  Addicting.  I shared a lot with my friends, but I kept the chocolate cherry ones for myself, as it’s now my favorite cookie to keep around the house.  If you can manage to not eat the whole package, they’re actually pretty low-cal (eat just ONE serving, guys) and not bad for you at all.  Yum!

Happily, one lucky reader will win an entire case of these cookies – assorted flavors – exactly what I received for my sampling pleasure.  All you have to do is “like” Almondina on Facebook, and leave a comment below saying you’ve done so, and what flavor you look forward to trying the most.

Good luck!  Winners will be chosen in a week.

The usual rules apply: prize provided and fulfilled by Almondina; open to residents who live in the continental US; not open to Feisty Family employees; winners are chosen via Random.org; I did not receive any sort of compensation for this post, though I did receive a sample case for my own enjoyment.
