I forgot to mention in yesterday’s post about Citi Field something I thought was pretty cool. Citi Field has ‘gone green’ – there were video clips playing on the JumboTron (or whatever you call it – the MegaTron? hahaha… yes I am a dork!) explaining various measures that they’ve taken to be more environmentally friendly, such as using a special type of brick to encourage water run-off collection, and using ‘green’ lightbulbs, etc. (and some corridors were really dark, actually, which was a bit scary). But one of the things I noticed – all of the stores were giving out these awesome bags to hold your purchases! They’re not canvas, but rather hmm… much like the material used for tarps (haha seriously), just a bit thinner and therefore flexible/softer and not as ‘rattly’ when you crinkle it a bit. I um, managed to score 4 of this size and 1 small one (which is SO cute!), though BF took one of the medium sizes (there’s also a size up, but we didn’t get any of those). Hehe. I will definitely be rocking this all season long! or at least for a while. I’ll be stuffing my stadium blanket in there for the first game 🙂
