CT & I have been back for from our Panama trip for a little while now and already have a bunch of NYC based posts for you. Rather than let them get “stale,” we are gonna have a couple bonus posts at 12:15. Enjoy! The day after Hurricane Irene paid a visit to the tri-state area, most forms of inter-state transportation were still offline. As such, CT was unable to get to her office in Connecticut, so she worked from home. As for me, I braved the empty streets of Manhattan for my usual walk to to work. Since the [...]

Travelling back in time a little bit, I recently went for Korean BBQ to celebrate my BFF/LTS’s birthday. She chose a place in Queens called San Soo Kap San, which translates to… I have no idea. My last day of work, I’d talked to Cookie and Linguine about perhaps meeting up to introduce Linguine to Korean food widely. Cookie’s extensive experience with Korean food and Korean people made her the perfect candidate to be our guide into Korean food. When I mentioned this to a few friends, of course they all decided to join us! I arrived a bit late, so already ordered was a seafood pajeon, or a seafood pancake. Chewy and lightly reminiscent of a scallion pancake, I thought it was only alright. I don’t think I like pajeon or I haven’t had very [...]
