I went to Shake Shack twice this week and both times didn’t get a Shackburger. Gasp! I know! But the first time was right after lunch at Pipa for MK’s birthday (brief note: I didn’t photograph the meal, but our service, despite the place being next to completely empty – 2-3 other tables and that’s it – was HORRIBLE, slow, and no apologies or explanation why it took freakin’ an HOUR to bring our food! NOTHING, I will never go there again, it was not delicious enough for that sort of crap). The second time, I went there for a [...]

Guess who’s going to be at the last game of the inaugural Subway Series at the new Yankee Stadium… AND the last game of the inaugural Subway Series at Citi Field?! That’s right, yours truly. To celebrate both series and show support for your team, you can get these cookies at Zaro’s Bread Basket in Grand Central Terminal… which, coincidentally, is where you can also get the trains that go to both stadiums These cookies will be available June 11th through June 14th, during the Yankees/Mets series at Yankee Stadium, and again from June 25th through June 28th during the Mets/Yankees series [...]

After burgers at Five Guys, we wandered around, searching for a sweet ending to our savory meal. We finally happened into Pasticceria Bruno, because it wasn’t super crowded on that Friday night, and because the space looked so yummy. There were a ton of tarts and pastries behind the glass case, and the sign promised gelato… we were sold. HB opted for a passion fruit mini tart, which she enjoyed very much, though I didn’t ask her why or what made it so good. I just know she liked it, and its small size was right for her since she [...]

As I mentioned recently, there was some Cupcake Wars and cupcakes to be had down in Bay Ridge! I snagged the LTS BFF and we headed down… yes, we’re both nuts, 2 hours on the train each way to see about some cupcakes! It turned out that we were both super glad we had~ before I even get to the cupcakes, I have to reveal – no, wait, I’ll hold off. Wait, no. Wait, yes. Wait… sigh. You’ll have to wait. It adds to the suspense. I was incredibly eager to try the tiramisu cupcake, since tiramisu is one of my [...]

Game on! As you may or may not know by now, I am a huge baseball fan. HUGE. More specifically, I’m a hugehugeHUGE Mets fan, and yes, my heart has been broken and stomped on quite a few times now… but that’s besides the point. I fully support my team through the good times and the bad! I’ve mentioned before that last season, as a gift to myself, I purchased the Sunday plan, which included tickets to every Sunday home game. This season, I am the proud owner of a similar package (although they changed it a bit and instead of [...]
