RUB BBQ

Cheeburger Cheeburger

Being pigs, directly after discovering Fanta Shokata, BlindBaker, BeerBoor, Nommables and I headed over to Cheeburger Cheeburger to fill our bellies.  I ordered a strawberry banana shake, full.  Yum!  I love that they give you the full thing, even though I can never finish it…  A basket of half/half – onion rings and fries – arrived quickly, along with a quad of dipping sauces that we all nommed on.  BeerBoor ordered a 20oz burger – the challenge burger – despite having eaten normally earlier.  I’m not entirely sure what Nommables ordered, but I got this awesome shot [...]

Shake Shack (UES)

Yup, yet another Shake Shack opened.  I’ve no shame in admitting my adoration of Shake Shack.  I love the burger, hate the hype.  It’s a good burger, made better by my personal preferences (smaller burger with a lot of flavor going on but not too much in the way of toppings).  It is indeed my favorite burger in the city, though I know that it isn’t going to be everyone’s favorite (too much hype; not enough burger; whatever your preference, this might not be it).  In any case, I’ve enjoyed going to the various other Shake Shacks as they’ve [...]

CT & I had a few hours to kill in beautiful Newark, Delaware before the wedding, so we decided to drive around to check out our surroundings. The hotel was basically on the University of Delaware’s campus. We found “Main Street,” which seemed to be the main commercial drag for the school. Directly following my trip to Peru, I left on a research trip to the West Coast for two weeks.  What was I researching?  Glad you asked: a book on Stadium Eats!  Um, yeah, without a deal in sight currently (hint, hint, anyone reading this who is interested!), I went to preemptively scout out the 6 West Coast stadiums and eat my way up and down the West Coast at the same time, starting in San Francisco, working my way down to Los Angeles, then San Diego, back up to San Francisco and then to Seattle!  Phew!  Tune in at 4:15 [...]
