For a few years now, I’ve been writing a guide to eating at Citi Field (last year’s can be found here). Usually it’s just after the season has started – mostly because I do on-the-ground reporting, ie, I actually visit the ballpark a few times and report on price changes, new menu items, try a few things, and all that. This year, you’ll have that guide – though it may take longer, as I’m no longer a Sunday plan holder (to my great sadness) – but this will have to tide you over for now. I received an email about [...]

That photo is from the last regular season game at Citi Field that was included in my Sunday plan (September 25, 2011). This picture is from the last regular season game that I actually attended – September 27, 2011 – courtesy of my overactive Twitter account one day a few months ago. I participated in a Twitter battle between the Detroit Tigers and the New York Mets, and because I helped them beat the competition, they DMed me for my address “to send me an autographed photo of Mr. Met” – but included in the envelope was a couple of [...]

So one gorgeous afternoon when the Mets were playing the Angels - these are not my normal seats, no, my darling mother-in-law’s friend offered BF and I tickets to these seats, and I took this picture to show how close I [...]

To my dismay, I realized that I have all these photos of what I ate at Citi Field last year that I never posted. Shame on me! So here they are. Garlic parmesan frites from Box Frites – always yummy and super filling Fried dough from the fried dough stand. BF loves this, asks them to fry it extra much to get it crispy as possible, and they let you add your own powdered sugar. Half of his powdered sugar inevitably ends up on me because I sit next to him in a windy stadium Antipasto salad from Mama’s of [...]
