Ahhh, my first official game of the season (April 11, 2010), and my first photo of David Wright’s first at bat! Back to drooling over my man DW, back to normal! (From October to April – especially after last season - baseball hardly existed to me; from April to October, we add another passion to the list and I obsess over baseball…) I mentioned new food items for this season and my concerns so I had to check how those played out! Since there’s now Box Frites behind my seats on the promenade level, I skipped my usual brief walk through [...]

I appear to have an intensely masochistic side, don’t I? Unfortunately, as I am the bearer of the brunt of all the pain I create, I believe that makes me a bit of a sado-masochist.
As regular readers of this blog will know, I love the Mets. I’m a baseball fan, but my allegiance lays firmly with the Mets. (I did root for the Yankees in the last World Series, and don’t see this as a conflict; New York is my home, and my team didn’t make it. Period.) I have this intense desire to visit every MLB stadium there exists, [...]
A Guide to Eating at Citi Field

Opening Day 2010 is today; what’s more fitting than sharing all the tricks I picked up eating through CitiField last season? Fortunately, as a plan ticket holder, I was invited to attend a pre-season workout on Sunday, with the Taste of the City concessions open for fan enjoyment. Unfortunately, many of the tips/tricks that I wanted to share as a “What to Eat Around CitiField” have turned out to be somewhat obsolete now… BOO. But first, my time at CitiField previewing: first up as you walk into the Jackie Robinson Rotunda, the new Hall of Fame museum! It is directly [...]

(What, did you think because it’s my blog-birthday, I wouldn’t post?! Silly people…)
The season is over in a few days, though for many Mets fans, the season’s been over for quite a while now. I wrote parts of this a while back, but hadn’t a chance to post it. With one last homestand this weekend, maybe it will help you decide what to eat as you mourn the passing of yet another season. Maybe not. I won’t be at this weekend’s games, but I will be back next year. See you around, Citi Field.
I will definitely be following up [...]

“Let’s go Nats” sounds an awful lot like “Let’s go Mets” doesn’t it?
It’s no secret how much I love baseball. Perhaps slightly lesser known is my desire to visit - and eat some amazing ballpark food from – each and every one of the 29 MLB stadiums around the country (and one in Canada)… and blog about each stadium and its food (of course!). In any case, I started the journey timidly back in May, with a trip to PNC Park in Pittsburgh with my boyfriend. It was a good trip, but I couldn’t help but wonder how much MORE I would [...]
