Comme Ci Comme Ça Truck

Comme Ci Comme Ça Truck

One of the more unique trucks in NYC is the Comme Ci Comme Ça truck which features Moroccan food. Luckily for me it often parks a few blocks from my office. I have been a handful of times and enjoyed the different offerings such as the merguez platter and lemon chicken sandwich very much. I read the Downtown section of Midtown Lunch recently tried the “Basmati Royale,” which offers all of its meats in one platter. It sounded like something right up my alley. On my way, I stopped to take a picture of the Sunrise Grill truck because I [...]

Brewers PicNyc

Brewers PicNyc

Last month, Thrillist announced the first food festival of the season on Governors Island would be the Brewers PicNyc over Memorial Day weekend. They also offered a deal for VIP tickets for $55 instead of $85, which included one hour early admission plus all you can eat and drink(beer too). CT and I enjoyed Meatopia and Parked last year(although we ended up in the minority that felt that way), so we were both keen on returning for another festival. Since we are old hands, we know how best to navigate these events. Rule #1 Arrive EARLY! On the way to [...]

Random Treats: CT in South Africa

As TT mentioned, I was recently in South Africa. My friend DY and I were fortunate enough to follow MVB home for the holidays. In my third and final post, I share with you some of the best goodies I enjoyed in between my extravagant meals. We started our journey in Capetown. MVB and her family were attending a wedding when we arrived, so we went straight to the apartment where we were greeted by a bowl full of South African snacks! MVB knows me well!! Included in this bowl was a very special treat, South African Biltong and Droe [...]

Home Cooking: CT in South Africa

As TT has previously mentioned, I was recently in South Africa. My friend DY and I were fortunate enough to follow MVB home for the holidays and MVB’s family was kind enough to cook many traditional South African goodies! Before leaving, I may have perused just a few South African eats website and provided MVB with a list of foods I was interested in trying during our trip. Little did I know that I would be lucky enough to get true home-cooking while I was there! The VB-family was kind enough to forgo their traditional Christmas Eve dinner for me. [...]

Le Quartier Francais: CT in South Africa

As TT mentioned, I was recently in South Africa. My friend, DY, and I were fortunate enough to follow MVB home for the holidays. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing a few of my great eats. Fortunately for me, MVB is fully aware of how much I love and appreciate food. Months before our trip, she informed DY and I that she booked one very special dinner for us to enjoy in Capetown. Of course, the first thing I did was Google restaurants in Capetown and couldn’t wait to find out where we were going. After countless requests [...]
