Roli Roti (SF)

Roli Roti (SF)

A couple months ago, CT and I decided to plan a trip to San Francisco over Memorial Day weekend. She had never been before so we made sure to hit up all of the tourist sites. Of course, there was plenty of eating to do too. Join us as we recap our wonderful time on the West coast. On Day 2 of our trip, we woke up and heading downtown to the Ferry Terminal Building for the Saturday Farmers Market. In addition to a plethora of fresh produce, cheeses and meats there are a bunch of food vendors too. Ever [...]

Tuesdays with TT: The Crooked Knife

Tuesdays with TT: The Crooked Knife

Last month, our friend DY was back in town for the night after wrapping up her first year of business school down south. We met up for some drinks and a bite not too far from the apartment. The Crooked Knife is one of the more authentic British pubs in NYC. They have a nice homey dining room serving classic comfort foods. DY decided to get an appetizer and a salad. She started with the fried calamari ($9). I had a piece. Nicely fried and not that greasy. A pretty standard preparation but delicious none the less. She also had [...]

After lunch at Swan and an afternoon tour of Alcatraz, we headed back to meet up with CT’s Uncle and Aunt. They are investors in a new bowling alley/restaurant/bar called Mission Bowling Club. It is located, if you can guess, in the [...]

Tuesdays with TT: Great Googa Mooga

Tuesdays with TT: Great Googa Mooga

I ended up being one of the lucky forty thousand or so that got free general admission tickets to the inaugural Great Googa Mooga this year. This post is now coming out over a month after the event, so it’s a little dated. I won’t go too much into the logistics of the event since plenty of others have beat that dead horse many many times. We did go on Sunday, where the organizers improved a lot of things that failed the day before. As we learned from the various food festivals we had been to on Governors Island, the [...]

Of course, there was plenty of eating to do too. Join us as we recap our wonderful time on the West coast. After getting in super late the night before, the first thing we did after waking up was head out for breakfast. Since we had a pretty good outline setup ahead of time of where we would be eating, we knew our first [...]
