People frequently ask me where my favorite bars are, and I always respond the same thing: I don’t really go to bars. Which is only sort of true; I don’t really go to the type of bar I think of when someone says “let’s go to a bar.”
But I do, however, frequent places that have well-curated wine lists and lovely bites to go with the wine.
Here are some of my favorites…
(One exception: Sushi Yasu is not a bar exactly, but I love dining at the sushi bar there, as Chef Yasu is HILARIOUS.)
Enjoy – with more to come. You can sign up on foodie.com to follow me, so you can see whenever I create a new collection of restaurants you should check out! Check out my full profile here.

Great article! But how could you miss Terrior???! The original e village location is my favorite but they have some really delicious nibbles to go with the awesome wine list and extensive beer offerings…..

Thank you! I’ve actually never been to Terroir, but it’s going on my list to-go right now – and I’ll be sure to update my Foodie collection if it makes the cut for me! 🙂

There are several Terroir’s. One in Murray Hill on 3rd (the one I’ve been to), one in the EV, and one in Tribeca. I believe I ranted on twitter how amazingly delicious their lardo ‘bruschetta’ was.

Ranted? Or RAVED? Hahaha

I don’t go to bars just to drink. I must eat too. So usually, it’s a bar/restaurant or a restaurant with a bar. Oh well.

These are all bars with delicious bites 🙂
