Another fun event of Barilla’s Summer of Italy is the Road to Casa Barilla. Taking place over the course of the three weeks leading up to Casa Barilla, Road to Casa Barilla involves adorable Fiats parked all over the city, handing out tickets to Casa Barilla to those who find them. They’ll be Tweeting their location so be sure to follow them on Twitter. You might think: so what, what’s the big deal? I can just pay $5 for tickets to Casa Barilla. Yes, you can, but…
The first 5 people at each location to check in on Four Square will also receive tickets to the Andrea Bocelli concert in NYC on September 15 in Central Park. While this is a free concert, tickets are required and they’re completely “sold out” already – so this may be your only opportunity to score tickets! (Well, if you stay tuned here, I will also be giving away tickets… but not today!) The above was the first winner the day I went to check out what was up.
And here are the adorable Fiats that Barilla is using for this campaign. Keep an eye out for these blue cars that are decorated with the Barilla logo and what looks like yellow stars… but look closer. They’re actually star pasta shapes!!! (You can tell because there’s a small hole in the middle, just like the star shaped pasta has.)
Good luck with getting the tickets!
Please note that I attended this event anonymously, though I am a Barilla blogger ambassador. While I am obligated to post about this event and future Summer of Italy events, I assure you that I will continue to uphold my responsibility to my readers to always be honest and forthright about what I eat and what I like or don’t like.
