Twiggy’s Cupcake Diet recently contacted me and asked if I’d like to try their cupcakes. Sure, why not? A healthy cupcake? Low cal, gluten free… I’m interested!
They sent me a sampler pack of 6 flavors (I only took pictures of four here). Unfortunately for me, I discovered that there is coconut (sugar) used in the cupcakes, and I am allergic to coconut! Wah! I brought them to FeistySis’s house on the 4th of July, though, and had everyone chow down on them.
Everyone had their favorites! Someone liked the lemon poppy the best, and someone else said carrot cake was their favorite. Another person commented liking the chocolate frosting… Since I couldn’t taste them, I loved the individual packaging and the little flags with assorted inspirational sayings on them. My favorite? “The best attitude is gratitude.” So true!
The cupcakes are shipped frozen, so you pop them in the freezer when they arrive, and take one (or however many you want to eat) out a few hours before you want to eat it, letting it thaw. I love this concept – single serve cupcakes any time you want! Perfect for those of us who sometimes just want that one cupcake!
So now you’re all thinking “Yeah yeah yeah, so what?” – well, how about an opportunity for your very own sampler pack of cupcakes? Twiggy’s has graciously donated a sampler pack – one each of their six flavors – to one lucky winner.
How do you enter? Simple: leave a comment below telling me why you think Twiggy’s Cupcake Diet is a great idea and/or why you want to try these cupcakes! That’s it! Simple, right? No reason not to enter.
GOOD LUCK!!!
Restrictions and the usual fine print: this contest is open to residents of the continental US only. Contest is not open to employees of The Feisty Foodie. Contest is sponsored by Twiggy’s Cupcake Diet, any positive editorial by me is my opinion alone (or in this case, that of my family’s). I did not receive any monetary compensation for this, though I did receive my own sampler of the 6 cupcake flavors. Contest will run until next Wednesday, at which time I will use Random.org to pick a winner.

I often don’t appreciate commercial cupcakes b/c they are too big, these seem the perfect size!

Actually I am on a diet right now and I have not been eating sweets. This would be a good treat and not hurt my diet. Also, who doesn’t love cupcakes.
T.C. says
I can share those healthy cupcakes with others.
Lisa says
I love cupcakes! I hope to have them at my wedding so I’m trying to find the best cupcakes to serve 🙂
Feisty Foodie says
Lisa, please check your email! I haven’t heard from you, but you’re the winner! Waiting on your shipping information so we can get these to you 🙂

Cuz everyone needs a little cupcake in their life!

I’d give them to my mom. I don’t know if she’d eat them, but I think I could convince her with the naturally occurring sugar, no trans fats, and the fact they are gluten free.

The mention of lemon poppy reminds me of those tiny muffins they serve at the breakfast buffet in college. I won’t feel guilty if I eat these in the morning because anything lemon-poppy = breakfast. YUM
chakrateeze says
I would also give them to my mom, because not only is she a diabetic, gluten intolerant, and perpetually on a diet (swear to God, I’m not making this up), it’s her birthday next week. These would be perfect for her!

Coconut (sugar)? I’m all for this!
Sara says
As someone in the midst of a crazy juice cleanse, these seem like a much more delicious diet option!
Goats says
I want to poison an obnoxious hipster co-worker with the coconut! Is that too mean?
CheeeeEEEEse says
I’m behind splitting them if this works out.

i have a coworker who has celiac’s disease. whenever i bake stuff, she can’t eat it. it would be sssoooo cool if i could win these and share them with her!!!!
Claire Johnson says
Would love to win these for my girls, ages 6 & 7….both have celiac (me too) and to find new products is huge – it’s tough to break the boredom. To pull off a truly good GF cupcake takes skill…and c’mon, who doesn’t love a good cupcake?
david says
“Healthy” cupcakes just seem like they would be… not good. That, plus the freezing and defrosting, leaves me rather unconvinced. I guess I would eat them to see if they proved me wrong?
Lisa M says
MMM!! I would love to try these cupcakes! I’ve been trying to go gluten free and I wouldn’t be doing so bad except I LOVE eating cupcakes! So if these taste as great as they look, I have no reason NOT to be gluten free! thanks for the chance to try these.
Hungry says
I want to win these cupcake so that I can gift them to Feisty Foodie on her birthday in 3 months.
Opy says
Oooo those look and sound delicious! I love the packaging too! I would love to try these and see how they hold up through the freezing and defrosting. Seems like an interesting idea!

These look so cute, and delicious!! Would love to give them a try!

This just sounds really good. But I do wonder how the coconut sugar is like.

One of my kids have been on a gluten free diet for almost a year now. As a mom, it’s heartbreaking to restrict certain foods from his daily diet, like bread, cakes and soy sauce! He can’t even have carvel birthday cakes because of the crunchies. So whenever I come across gluten free products, we always do a taste test. So far he loves Sprinkles gluten free red velvet cupcake. I wonder how these compare. Thanks for the chance at this giveaway!

I love the individual packaging, and they seem to be the perfect size!

i loooooove cupcakes!
kim says
Great portion size (not the jumbo, Americanized version) and stay with traditional flavors rather than all the fusion ideas being used nowadays.
Amy says
I love that they’re in individual packaging and frozen – no need to trek out just for a slight sweet tooth.
Elisabeth says
I think they’re a great idea! I like to give myself a little treat every so often, and these look yummy! I bet the carrot cupcake is delicious! 🙂
Tracey says
Wow, how brilliant! I’ve always avoided cupcakes because I am very calorie-conscious, but I would love to try these because they look like the answer to my cupcake dreams! Thank you for such a great giveaway!
Marnely Rodriguez says
I’d love to try them because they would be great for portion control my desserts!
