I turned 30 at 7:28am today. Instead of working on posts (oops! sorry!), I’ve been running around celebrating (and yes, you’ll see pictures of my wonderful meals). No post for today, but a question – and as a birthday gift to me, please indulge me! –
What has been your very favorite and/or standout post on the Feisty Foodie? A link would be nice, but isn’t entirely necessary – but at least a description of the post and what made it standout, if you can’t remember the title or restaurant name…
Thanks so much! Have a fabulous Wednesday, everyone!

The writing was fantastic!
Those pictures are making me hungry.

Trust you to pick a post of your own, dork 😛

Happy Birthday! I’ve only started reading your blog recently so I have yet to choose.
Feisty Foodie says
Thank you! I hope many many posts become your favorite(s)! 🙂

Happy Birthday to You!
My fav is clearly this one:

Food baby glory!!
Feisty Foodie says
Haha, that one is pretty gross – sometimes looking at it makes me physically ill 😡 hahaha
Hungry says
My favorite is this post about your trip to Peru (for obvious reasons): http://feistyfoodie.com/2010/06/17/peru-granja-heidi-restaurant/
Otherwise I really like this post about the first potluck because of all the food and the last pic of food babies: http://feistyfoodie.com/2010/05/03/midtown-lunch-bunch-rooftop-potluck/
Feisty Foodie says
Our potlucks are pretty ridiculous! And that pic of the food babies is… cringe-worthy 😉
BeerBoor says
So many good ones! Clearly the Cheesesteak Chowdown is a favorite, but the Super Sunday Suppers (what happened to those?): http://cc6.016.myftpupload.com//index.php?s=super+sunday+supper and http://feistyfoodie.com/2010/03/19/recipe-fridays-super-supper-sunday-1/, the West Coast trip: Salumi in Seattle, the Oakland farmer’s market, Chez Panisse, all wonderful pictures and mouth-watering writeups.
Feisty Foodie says
Funny, those are all posts I had so much fun doing the activities that led to the write-ups, that probably shows through clearly when I’m writing about them. 🙂

I really enjoy your writing and I love the fact that you are a straightshooter. Been reading your blog for some time though never commented as I am quite shy in the blogging world…but since today is your birthday, I really want to say that you are doing an awesome job, and hope that you enjoy your birthday and get to eat lots and lots of delicious food!
Feisty Foodie says
Thank you Kelly! That is very sweet! 🙂 No need to be shy, I don’t bite… unless you happen to be something really, really yummy 😉
Samantha says
I’m a longtime lurker and love to check your blog on a regular basis. I have many favourites but i think one of m favourites would be the posts on Nobu and Morimoto 🙂
Happy birthday!
Feisty Foodie says
Thank you! Two awesome meals 🙂
Feisty Foodie says
Er, more than two. I’ve eaten at Morimoto a few times. Whoops, lol
Aimee says
I like when you review places I’ve actually heard of! LOL Like…ABC Kitchen, Eleven Madison Park, Blue Hill, etc.
Feisty Foodie says
Hahaha, those are the most expensive meals (ABC Kitchen wasn’t me, so I don’t know, lol)
Carol says
Happy Birthday Yvo!!
Been reading your blog for a long time and enjoy most all the posts. One of my favortes if the Napa Valley trip one. informative and entertaining….which pretty much sums up your blog!
Feisty Foodie says
Thank you, Carol! Napa Valley was definitely a lot of fun!
Lizz says
Happy Birthday, love! I’m going to throw it back to 2007!
http://feistyfoodie.com/2007/02/21/canton-gourmet/
This post with the crab guts over the noodles.. OMG! I just had to have it.. and after my first visit, Canton Gourmet became been one of my favorite restaurants in Flushing. Not only for the crabs but many of the dishes they offer are delicious!
Feisty Foodie says
Canton Gourmet is definitely the real deal! I loved this request I made and am so happy with everyone’s responses – when I read yours (via email, I wasn’t at a computer at the time), I knew immediately what photo you meant – glistening noodles, green crab guts, omg, so good… Mmm!!!

I don’t know what my all time favorite would be (probably the dressings post since i won a set –and still have to try 3 of them or the post about our Queens eating adventure), but have a VERY happy birthday!!!!
Feisty Foodie says
Thank you! 🙂

Happy Birthday!
I don’t have one favorite post because there’s a ton that stick out. I know when my husband and I were going to Morimoto’s and Nobu the first thing I did was check out your site for reviews on what to get/what to avoid.
Feisty Foodie says
Awesome! I’m always happy to hear that my posts have been helpful 🙂
gigi says
I LOVE YOUR POSTS WHEN YOU CELEBRATE ANYTHING WITH YOUR FAMILY, THE FOOD PICS ARE FABULOUS, REMINDS ME OF OUR FAMILY GATHERINGS, WHERE THEIR’S ALWAYS TOO MUCH FOOD & WE ALL CHOW DOWN LIKE IT’S OUR LAST MEAL.
Feisty Foodie says
Thanks Gigi! I love those posts too!!!

Happy (belated) Birthday Yvo! I’ve been thinking about this for the last 2 days… and I would have to agree with Hungry and Beer Boor – I loved the Potluck write-up and miss your Sunday Suppers! Although I have been enjoying your recent Bento-box write-ups! Keep up the great work!
Feisty Foodie says
Thanks CT! The potlucks are so much fun to put together and attend… now that the weather is turning, Sunday Suppers should start up again 🙂
