Pom Iced Coffee

October 5, 2010 by Feisty Foodie 6 Comments

At the sort-of recent Swagapalooza, I somehow walked away with three different bottles of Pom Iced Coffee, a new product, in my bag.  I blame a certain fellow food-blogger stuffing things in there, but it worked out since I wound up with one of each flavor.  So of course I tried each one…

Since I tend to dislike vanilla as the flavor in my drinks, I went with that one first.  Surprisingly, I didn’t dislike the presence of vanilla in the drink; probably because I didn’t taste much, if any, of that.  It just tasted chalky and slightly weird to me.  Pass.

Next was cafe au lait.  This one was marginally better; coffee was the more forward flavor, and I liked that enough.  I don’t know that I’d go out of my way to buy it, though.

The last one I tried was chocolate.  Not mocha, but chocolate.  I actually liked this one the best, despite not being a chocolate lover… maybe because the chocolate masked any of the funky weirdness of the coffee, and instead created a fairly mellow, smooth drink.  This, if I saw in a store, I might consider buying – though I still won’t go out of my way to get it, it was enjoyable.

Please note I received these items free of charge at Swagapalooza, but was under no obligation to post my opinion, positive or negative.

Is there Pomegranate in there? Because if not then what’s the point of making this product??

I didn’t like any of the flavors really. Didn’t taste enough like coffee to me. Too processed.

Thought the coffee and chocolate flavors were quite tasty. Didn’t try the vanilla. Also given at Swagapallooza. Haven’t seen it in the stores yet, but I would buy them.

Not sure chocolate coffee is to my liking. I do like Mocha though.

I have to agree with you. I kept tasting ginseng notes in the vanilla one, and I hate ginseng. Haven’t yet tried the chocolate or cafe au lait ones, though I’m not really jazzed about tasting them now.
