Still on that sugar high but with lots more pictures! After the awards ceremony, we were invited to indulge in the dessert reception. Godiva reps wandered around with trays and trays of two of their ice cream-inspired flavors: Mint Chocolate Truffles I think this was inspired by lemon sherbet I’m not normally a Godiva fan because I think the quality of their product has gone down the tubes over the years, but I did enjoy the samples they offered, the mint chocolate more than the lemon. I’d just taken a bite of the mint chocolate truffle when someone said to [...]

Before I left for Peru, ILILI began offering brunch in their spacious (I mean huge – I think the place holds 250 people?!) restaurant, and invited bloggers to come sample their brunch menu. Despite brunch’s ill reputation as a service most kitchens hate to offer and as one of those things that many people just love saying “I’d rather make my own brunch at home and get exactly what I want without sitting on top of other people, I actually enjoy brunch out quite a bit. We tried to go to Pollos Broaster again since I’d LOVED it and had raved about it to her – and we were both very low on sols, with no real reason to exchange more money so late in the trip – but it was closed. We’re still not sure [...]

Over the past couple of months I have become quite the food blogger. I or (CT) bring a camera to every restaurant we go to. Since Yvo has been busy with school, I am stepping up and will now have a weekly column, Tuesdays with TT. Bon Appetit! Last summer, CT & I took a cooking class at the Institute for Culinary Education. They have a huge program of recreational classes for all skill levels. I definitely recommended it. We hit it off with a couple people from that class, so we all try to get together every couple months [...]

As mentioned, I recently took a trip to Peru, visiting the Amazon area, Cusco, and Machu Picchu/Aguas Calientes… follow along as I show you everything I ate on my amazing trip! Our first day walking around Cusco had led us past this storefront, which amused us so much we took a picture of it. During our bus ride from the train back to Cusco, we overheard these annoying and giggly girls (that we then kept running into… ick) saying how awesome and cheap this place was for fruit shakes/smoothies, and how the drinks were so huge the three of them had [...]
