Yep, just another uneventful night – Mondays/Wednesdays tend to be uneventful for me, because I have class until 8pm, so not much really happens; I stay at home in the morning working on stuff, then class at night, and not much between or afterwards. On this day, I drove down Bell Boulevard looking for something and stopped at a red light outside this funeral home. I had to whip the camera out for a quick snap – I don’t know if you can see it, per se, but there’s a man standing in front of the funeral home, looking off to one side (he moved his head when I took the photo, even though I used no flash). It was so classic; he seemed so pensive, standing outside a funeral home, I immediately wondered (although I have questions like this floating through my head on a regular basis; part of being a writer, I suppose, constantly making up stories about everyone around me): who died? Did he feel regret, remorse, relief, what? He just had that slight tension in his shoulders that suggested he’d lost someone and was struggling to cope, strugging to figure out how he should feel and how he should act like he feels.
Too bad it’s so blurry, but I like the imagery it brings to mind for me, since I saw the shot I wanted before he moved his head (he originally had his head turned to his right, a hard turn so that his face was in profile where I sat).
Oh, also: it was $5.99 for 8 pieces of fried chicken at Popeye’s. Yes, I did. And yes… I did. 🙂 I scarfed that chicken down like it was my job… hehehe

What a weirdo…..you’re no competitive eater. Popeye’s is awesome though!
The picture above is too blurry.
