I totally agree! I recently moved to the area, and discovered Li Hua after about a month or so-so takeout. Li Hua's food is great. Cheap, light, generous portions, and very good overall. I now order from there at least once a week. So often that the delivery guy knows me. It's mildly embarrassing, but the food is so good that I don't care.

I will agree though that the banchans are pretty average, sometimes mediocre. But the actual dishes are all very good.

Their food is very fresh, flavorful, and best of all they don't use butter. They shouldn't but some Korean places do. (I have no idea why.) I'm lactose intolerant, and my body reacts violently whenever I eat butter. (I eat a lot of East Asian food for that very reason.) But Li Hua does not do that at all. No butter! The portions are generous (more than I can ever eat), but the food is generally light and very filling.

I've been trying to get my friends to come with me, but most of them are afraid to eat Korean. They think it's too rich or spicy. (Either from personal experiences or what they've heard.) They should check out Li Hua. It will prove them wrong.

Sorry that was so long. I just love the place, and want more people to discover it.
